Thomas James Ealy, 75, of Mahomet, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Monday the 13th of July, at his home. An open house will take place at 2707 County Road 350 East, Mahomet, on Saturday, the 18th of July, from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Born in Mattoon, Illinois, on September 1st, 1950, Tom graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in finance. He spent over 40 years as an investment advisor and financial planner and was known to his clients as being hard-working, caring, and effective. Tom was a diehard St. Louis Cardinals fan; lover of all things plants; and a loving son, father, and grandfather.

Tom was preceded by his father James, his mother Pheobe, his brother Mark, and his son Ryan. He is survived by his partner Lilo and their recently engaged daughter Allison and her fiancé Conner. He leaves behind family members Pat, his sister, and his brother John. He was blessed with 4 grandchildren: Kylie and her husband Drew, George, Nat, and Margo and will be missed by his longtime friend group, the Groundhogs. He is remembered by his 4 sons: Timothy, Kevin and his wife Amanda, Tommy, and David and his wife Margaux; his one and only princess Eva; and their mother Kathy.

Tom will be remembered for his humor, his generosity, and the love he showed to his family. His guidance shaped the lives of more people than any of us knew.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to your local Boys and Girls club; or do one of Tom’s favorite things and plant a tree.

Friends and family are invited to Tom’s house at 2707 County Road 350 East, Mahomet, on Saturday the 18th of July, from 10 AM to 2 PM to share memories and celebrate everything Tom gave to them.
