Teressa L. Morgan

Teressa L. Morgan, 59, of St. Joseph, IL, died peacefully with her loved ones by her side on Saturday, Nov 5^th, 2022, at Carle Hospital in Urbana following a 16 month battle with brain cancer. Teressa is survived by her mother, Pat (Smalley) Yates, her husband Dan Morgan, brother Chet Tussey and her ‘bonus' daughter, Alexis (Morgan) Call. She joined her beloved grandparents in Heaven. She graduated from Woodlawn, IL, High School in 1981, then from SIU-C in 1985. She worked in sales, often distinguishing herself through her efforts and personality.

Teressa loved to shop for antiques and go to auctions, read, garden, and indulge in chocolate. She spoiled her grandchildren, Carson and Caroline Call with love and adoration. Teressa was always thinking of others and lived her life, and faced her death, with a positive attitude and giving spirit. Finding the best in other people and putting them at ease was her superpower, and she wielded it freely. Despite some extraordinary challenges that life presented her she never waived from her optimistic outlook.

Teressa will be cremated. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday November 12, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. at Freese Funeral Home 302 E. Grand Ave. St. Joseph.  

In lieu of flowers it is requested that donations be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
