Nancy Marie Hertter, 83, of Southaven, MS, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024. The interment will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Locust Grove Cemetery in Philo, IL.
Nancy was born on September 24, 1940 in Broadlands, IL. She worked as secretary and office manager at Baldor Electric in Memphis, TN. Nancy was a member of Goodman Oaks Church of Christ. Her hobbies included reading, doing puzzles, and playing games of any kind. She was an avid card player and she especially loved playing with her grandkids. Nancy kept a meticulous house, even with the grandchildren running around. Nancy married the love of her life, James, on May 28, 1961, and they got to spend 63 wonderful years together. She and Jim loved to travel quite a bit in their retirement, wintering in Florida. Nancy loved her family and they will all miss her greatly.
Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Jason Lee Hertter, and parents, Berdina and Walter Charles Logan.
Nancy is survived by her husband, James Carol Hertter of Southaven, MS; daughter, Sheryl Ann Hawkins (Jeff) of Marion, IA; son, Ryan James Hertter (Amy) of Bartlett, TN; grandchildren, Christina Ann Stokes (Steven) of Joplin, MO, Nathan William Hawkins of Louisville, KY, Kathryn Elizabeth Hawkins of Marion, IA, Emily Nicole Hawkins of Marion, IA, Jacob Lee Hertter, Zachary James Hertter, Rylee Ashton Hertter, Logan Wesley Hertter, and Hayden Parker Hertter, all of Bartlett; brother, Phillip Keith Logan of Sidney, IL; and twin sister, Nina Lee Dyle (Grady) of Franklin, TN.
