Melissa D (Ohlson) Siegmund

Melissa D. Siegmund, 54, of St. Joseph passed away Friday, May 2, 2025.

She was born March 6, 1971 in Park Ridge, IL. The daughter of Gary E. and Patricia L. Ohlson. She married Delbert "Del" Siegmund on June 3, 1997 on Amelia Island, FL. He survives.

She is also survived by her children; Grant Siegmund of Urbana, and Paige Siegmund of St. Joseph. Parents Gary and Pat Ohlson of Urbana. Sister Rebecca (Chris) Graebert of East China, MI. Niece Amaya Graebert.

Melissa worked as a pharmacist in the area. She was the valedictorian of her pharmacy class. She also served as a poison prevention educator and a 4-H club leader for many years.

She was a nature lover and birdwatcher. Melissa was skilled in the fine and fiber arts, especially painting and knitting. She was a member of the

Champaign-Urbana Spinners and Weavers Guild as well as a supporter of the St. Joseph-Ogden Fine Arts Booster Club.

Melissa was an incredibly giving and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her presence will be missed by everyone who knew her.

A private family service will be held.
