Mary Kirkham

Mary Kirkham, 79, of Newman formerly of Tolono passed away at 4:55AM on Friday, January 26, 2024 at home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7PM on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Freese Funeral Home, Tolono.

Mrs. Kirkham was born December 2, 1944 in Indianapolis, IN, a daughter to Harry and Hazel Abrahms Rexroad.  She married Don Kirkham on April 5, 1969, he preceded her in death on November 22, 2016.

Surviving are her children; Jeffrey (Joan) of Mississippi, Christopher Raney of Springfield, Kenneth Raney of Mansfield, and Ronald (Teresa) Raney of Newman, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, five brothers; Harry (Marge) Rexroad of Texas, Robert Rexroad of Bement, Paul Rexroad of Nebraska, Leland Rexroad of Champaign and Jerald Rexroad of Atwood.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and two brothers.

She loved to cook, fish, watch game shows and anything that involved family, especially the family BBQ’s.
