Mrs. Buoy was born January 1, 1942 in Sadorus, a daughter to Harry and Freda Bohlmeyer Lietz.  She married Charles Lowell Buoy, he preceded her in death on December 26, 2015.  She is survived by four children; Vicky Lybarger, Peggy (Jim) Thompson, Jeff (Opal) Buoy, and Tina (Dean) Pittman, eight grandchildren; Chad Williams, Tracy (Michael) Hall, James (Katherine) Thompson II, Joel (Litany) Thompson, Jacob Buoy, Richard David Buoy, Douglas (Kristina) Buoy, and Eric (Vicky) Hartman, eight great-grandchildren, and one sister; Ellen Sarver and one brother Fernent Lietz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, one brother, a son and daughter in law; Richard and Mitzie Buoy, and a son in law; David Hartman.  After raising her five children, she cared for several of her grandchildren as her children were at work.  First and foremost, she enjoyed spending time with her family whether it was going out to eat or always having a cup of coffee ready for anyone that would stop by.  She also enjoyed sewing, baking pies, cooking, and going for car rides.  She was a true pioneer woman.  After her grandchildren were raised, she began cleaning houses, which she did until December 5.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and attended St. Paul Lutheran School.
