Margaret Ruth Waldbuser

Margaret R. Thompson Waldbuser, 78, of Danville, formerly of Kissee Mills, MO, passed away at 5:50 PM, on September 16, 2024 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville.

Private graveside services will be held.  Freese Funeral Home, Tolono is assisting with arrangements.

She is survived by five nieces, a nephew, and a brother-in-law Maxey R. Overmyer.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ben Waldbuser, her parents, Thomas and Helen Thompson, a sister; G. Jane Overmyer and a brother; John D. Thompson.

Margaret was born in Champaign.  She graduated from Urbana High School and Lakeview Memorial School of Nursing in Danville in 1967.

Margaret worked at an RN in nursing for over 50 years, including time at Skaggs (Cox) Medical Center in Branson, MO.  She and her husband operated Green Mountain Lodge in Rockaway Beach, MO for 17 years.  Margaret lived in the Champaign-Urbana area before moving to Missouri in 1976.

Margaret was a member of Forsyth Methodist Church in Forsyth, MO.  She also enjoyed mushroom hunting.
