Lorraine Cornelia Burkhardt

Lorraine was born March 2, 1947 in Milwaukee, WI, to Walter and Louise Wilde.  She died on July 23, 2026 in St. Joseph, IL.  Kenneth Burkhardt, her husband of 61 years, remains to cherish her memory.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and preschool teacher.  She enjoyed traveling, camping, many trips and activities with her children and grandchildren, and many holidays together.

Her loving children are; Erich Burkhardt, Urbana, IL, Earle and Noriko Burkhardt, Knoxville, TN, Lorelei and Che Nadel, Chicago, IL, Gretchen and Charles Kostro, Champaign, IL, Carl Burkhardt, Lenoir City, TN, Katherine and Thomas Lenkart, Denver, CO, Katrina and Christian Holhubner, Longview, IL.  Her grandchildren that she loved deeply are:  Nicholas Burkhardt, Leon Burkhardt, Joshua Kostro, Samantha Holbubner, James Holhubner and Evangeline Lenkart.

She will be missed by all who knew her.
