Loren Chesnut, 89, of Fithian passed away at 5:41 P.M. Tuesday January 28, 2025 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

 Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday January 31, 2025 at Freese Funeral Home 302 E. Grand Ave. St. Joseph. Pastor Todd Creason will officiate. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery, Homer. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.

 Loren was born September 25, 1935 in Danville. The son of Henry and Berice (Stewart) Chesnut. He married Mary Jo Burke on March 6, 1960 in Danville. She preceded him in death on April 16, 2016.

 He is survived by his children; Gary (Michelle) Chesnut and Lori (Raymond) Campbell both of Fitihian. Six grandchildren; Jerri Pine, Holly Milton, Travis Campbell, Chris Chesnut, Tyler Campbell, Hank Chesnut. Four great-grandchildren; Jobe Pine, Kade Pine, Charlie Milton and Dylan Milton.

 He was preceded in death by his parents.

 Loren farmed in the Fithian area all of his life. He also raised cattle and showed Shorthorn cattle. Loren loved to go fishing and traveling to Canada to fish.

 He was a member of the Ogden Christian Church and attended Hope UCC Church
