Larry David

Larry Burdett David, 87, of Evansville (Formerly from Fithian and Homer, IL) passed

away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Solarbron Family-First Senior Living in

Evansville, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 11, 2024, at Freese

Funeral Home, 302 E. Grand Ave., St. Joseph. Burial will be in GAR Cemetery, Homer.

Visitation will be Friday from 10 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Larry was born in Broadlands, IL on November 2, 1936, to Dale and Esther (Taylor)

David. He married Francis Penrod on February 28, 1954. She preceded him in death

on June 1, 2014

Larry is survived by his son, Steve (Dorothy) David of Simpsonville, SC; daughter,

Cindi (Tom) Wilzbacher of Wadesville, IN and son, Jeff David of Urbana, IL; 12

grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, a granddaughter, brother, mother and

father.

Larry grew up farming in the Broadlands and Royal areas with his parents. For a

good part of his life, he worked as an auto mechanic at his father’s service station in

Urbana. He later opened his own station after moving to Homer.

Larry enjoyed arrowhead hunting, working on cars, fishing and traveling with

Francis.
