She had a beautiful view of the U.S. Capital from her office. She enjoyed long walks along the Tidal Basin at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, especially when the Cherry Blossom trees were in full bloom. After marriage and John’s official discharge from the U.S. Navy in 1965, they moved to Tolono and have been life-long residents ever since.

She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Altar & Rosary Society for many years.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time visiting the Tolono Public Library often. She also enjoyed flower gardening, walking, bicycling, taking long road trips, and fishing with her husband. Her hobbies included quilting, cross-stitching, needle point, and crocheting. Kelly was very artistic and crafty. Her greatest achievement was being a housewife and creating a loving home for her family. Kelly enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events.
