Jimmie "Steamroller" Richardson

Jimmie Wayne “Steamroller” Richardson, 76 of Tolono passed away at 9:17PM, Thursday, September 11, 2025 at home.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, October 4, 2025 at St. Patrick Cemetery, Tolono.  Freese Funeral Home, Tolono is assisting with arrangements.

He was born June 29, 1949 in Urbana, a son to Stanley Wayne and Delores Jean Bialeschki Richardson.  He married Debbie Wingler on June 2, 1968 in Tolono, she survives.  Also surviving are two sons; Larry Richardson of Tolono and Terry (Tammy) Richardson of Sadorus, a daughter in law; Amy Richardson, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, two brothers; Kevin (Robin) Richardson of Champaign and Dave (Vicki) Richardson of Neoga.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, two brother in laws and a son; Gary Richardson.

He was a drummer in several bands in Champaign-Urbana area.  He was also a union laborer working out of Laborers Local 703, Champaign.  He was also employed at Humko for 10 years.
