Jerome "Jerry" Bennett

Jerome “Jerry” E. Bennett Jr., 75, of Mahomet, IL, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, at Willow Breeze Hospice House.

Born on July 3, 1949, in Champaign, IL, Jerry was the son of Jerry Bennett Sr. and Thelma Jane Richardson.

Jerry is survived by his daughters, Angela (Doug) Phillips and Traci (Josh) Huber; his grandchildren, Austin, Mason, and Hudson; and his brothers, Jim and John. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Judith.

He proudly farmed his family's land for much of his life. He worked in the athletic ticket office at the University of Illinois and started his own business, CPR-Classic Painting & Renovation after retirement.

A public graveside service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or Willow Breeze Hospice House in Mattoon, IL.
