Jeanette McCown Obituary

Jean McCown, 72 of St. Joseph passed away Saturday March 29, 2025 at 8:26 A.M. at her home.

She was born January 24, 1953 in Champaign to Dorothy (Truax) and Lewis Edwin McCown.

Jean graduated from St. Joseph-Ogden High School, and worked at the University of Illinois as a secretary in the School of Music until 2008. She enjoyed reading, walking, gardening, and helping family, friends and neighbors.

Family requests memorials be made to your favorite charity, in lieu of flowers.
