Jeanette (Miller) Bialeschki, 89, formerly of Sadorus, died early Thursday morning (March 7, 2024) at Country Health Care and Rehab, Gifford, Illinois, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.
Jeanette was born September 5, 1934 in Champaign, the daughter of the late George and Pauline (Johnson) Miller.
Jeanette received her early education at Allen country school near Leverette and graduated from Urbana High School in 1952
On August 9, 1953, Jeanette married Ernest Bialeschki at Peace Lutheran Church in Thomasboro. She and her husband made their home on a farm at Sadorus until his death in 2009 at which time she moved to Savoy.
Jeanette is survived by several cousins who were very dear to her and she always looked forward to their visits.
Jeanette began her career in the College of Education at the University of Illinois where she retired after many years.
Jeanette loved genealogy, and if you wanted to know anything about family history, she would not only be able to tell you but would have it all typed out in great detail to show you. She also loved to read, anything from novels to all the local newspapers that were available and kept many scrapbooks full of newspaper clippings and pictures that go back over a half century.
Thanks to all the staff at Country Health for their care of Jeanette for the last several years and also to Transitions Hospice for the care given to her.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 11, at Peace Lutheran Church, 200 W. Arnold Ave., Thomasboro, with the Rev. Michael Stoerger officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Beckman Cemetery, rural Thomasboro.
Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church or Beckman Cemetery.
