James J Byers

James (Jim) R. Byers passed away at 1:30 am on March 30, 2025 at Carle Foundation Hospital. Jim was born to Earl and Minnie Byers on May 18 1938. Jim married Beverley Trimble on September 28, 1957. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, daughter Kathy (Jerry) Keele, son Doug (Kaydee) Byers, 4 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren and 1 brother Laveral Byers of Tuscola, IL and many nieces and nephews, He was preceded in death by his parents and 7 siblings. A man of deep faith and a heart full of service.

Funeral services will be at noon on Friday April 4, 2025 at Freese Funeral Home, Tolono with Elder John Powell officiating.  Burial will be at Bailey Memorial Cemetery, Tolono.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to noon Friday at the funeral home.
