Henry Fruhling

 Henry Fruhling 88, of St. Joseph passed away  on June 19, 2025 at Accolade Healthcare, Danville.

 Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday June 23, 2025 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church 802 E. Douglas St. St. Joseph. Pastor Andrew Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the church.

 Henry was born February 16, 1937 in Urbana. The son of Henry J. and Louise (Saathoff) Fruhling. He married  Mary Hawk on February 19, 1974 in Hillsboro, IN. She survives.

 He is also survived by his children; Henry Fruhling Jr., Sandra Fruhling, Robert Fruhling, Ron Golden. Four grandchildren; Stephen Fruhling, William, Jennifer, and Heather Golden. Ten great-grandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Doris Fruhling, son Stephen Fruhling, sister Betty.

 Henry served as a Champaign County Sheriff Deputy for 20 years. He also served as Police Chief in Atwood. He also drove cars for O'Brien Automotive.

 He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in Korea on the vessel's USS Baltimore and USS Stembel. Henry was a member of the Forty and eight veterans organization.

 In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
