Dorothy C (Melton) Rutledge

Dorothy C. Rutledge, 93 of Fithian passed away at 3:04 A.M. Friday February 6, 2026 at Accolade Healthcare on Pells, Paxton.

 Dorothy was born August 5, 1932 in Danville. The daughter of Willis I. and Goldy O. (McElwee) Melton. She married Robert Earl Rutledge Sr. on December 28, 1951 in Danville. He preceded her on June 16, 1996.

 She is survived by her children; James Rutledge of Fithian, David (Michelle) Rutledge of Bedford, IN and Debra Kuchenbrod of St. Joseph. 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister, two children Robert Earl Rutledge Jr. and Catherine Georgia, one great-grandchild, son-in-law Greg Georgia.

 Dorothy was a member of the Oakwood Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening and playing Bingo. She had worked as a in home care worker for several years.

 Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

 Services will be held at a later date.
