Diane Butler

Diane Butler, 78 of Sidney passed away Monday June 3rd at Carle Foundation Hospital.

Diane was born May 11, 1946 in Chicago.  The daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth Cullnan.

Diane married John Butler on June 11, 1977.  They were married 46 years.  They have two children together Scott Butler and Sindy (Jason) Henry. Diane was blessed with five grandchildren: Savana Butler, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Brayden and Tyler Henry.

Diane is survived by her two children Scott Butler and Sindy (Jason) Henry, her sister Catherine McComb, her brother in laws Carl (Marge), Jimmy (Donna) and Larry, her five grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband John.

Diane grew up in Chicago, IL.  She was a secretary for many years.  She retired in 2011.   After retirement Diane worked at Pioneer Hybrid as seasonal help and as a lunch room supervisor at Unit Seven Schools.

Diane love camping, bowling and going to the occasional casino.  Diane and her husband John would spend many summers camping at various State Parks.  Diane also enjoyed talking to her sister daily and spending time with her family.  

Diane loved watching old tv shows.  On any given day you would find her watching reruns of I Love Lucy, Three’s Company or The Golden Girls.  

Diane will be greatly missed by those that loved her.

Tolono, IL 61880 Tolono on Saturday, July 13th from 12-2 pm with a Memorial Service to follow.
