Catherine Wells

 Catherine Wells 89, of St. Joseph passed away at 12:35 P.M. Thursday December 22, 2022 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

 Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday December 28, 2022 at Freese Funeral Home 302 E. Grand Ave. St. Joesph. Pastor Ken Young will officiate. Burial will be in Patterson Cemetery, St. Joseph. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

 Catherine was born June 4, 1933 in St. Joseph Township. The daughter of Elmer and Ethel (Wyant) Kammin. She married Raymond P. Wells on August 28, 1950. He preceded her on April 3, 2017.

 She is survived by her children; Tina (Bob) Gebbink of Milton, FL, Raymond (Pamela) Wells of St. Joseph, Karen Hughey of Dewey. Nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. Sister Helen Clodfelder of Mahomet.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, daughter Charlotte Wells Morse, grandson Michael Morse, granddaughter Janelle Wells, grandson Raymond Wells III and great granddaughter Murelle Plotner.

 Catherine helped her husband on the farm and with the trucking business. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, and sitting by a campfire. 

 She was lovingly known as "The Warden"
