Carolyn Sue Clementz

Carolyn Sue (Dixon) Clementz, of Urbana, was born September 8, 1951 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to Ella Hilda and Wilbur Willis Dixon.  The family lived in rural Frost, Ohio on the family dairy farm and moved to Sidney, in 1953.  She attended Sidney Grade School and Unity High School.

She worked for the University of Illinois and later spent the majority of her working career for Floyd Electric in Champaign.  She married Charles Clementz on June 11, 1971.  Charles preceded her in death.  She enjoyed quilting and various needlework projects, especially embroidery.

In her mid-thirties Sue was diagnosed with MS which continued to advance her disability until her death, passing on September 20, 2025, she is survived by one brother and two sisters and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 29, 2025 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Sidney with Freese Funeral Home, Sidney handling arrangements.
