Beverly L Lee

Beverly L. Lee, 83 of Fisher formerly of Sidney passed away on February 4, 2025 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday Feb, 10, 2025 at Freese Funeral Home, Sidney with Rev. John Scott and Rev. Barry West officiating.  Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Sidney.  Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lee was born June 7, 1941 in Ludlow, a daughter to Leonard “Jim” Fritche and Elsie May Blair Walden.  She married Thomas G. Lee on June 25, 1961 at University Place Christian Church, Urbana.  He preceded her in death on Dec 3, 2016.

Surviving are three daughters; Jenny Jo Martin of Gibson City, Amanda (Aaron) Fugh of Foosland, and Kristina (Troy) Roberts of Mt. Juliet, TN, 14 grandchildren, Ethan, Christian, Cora and Eli Martin, Cody and Casey Smith, Emma, Lilly, Josephine, Jacari, Kaedo and William Fugh, Serenity Lee and Cyrus Roberts, five great-grandchildren and one on the way, a brother; Jimmy (Helen) Walden and a sister; Judy (Jim) Hughes.

She was preceded in death by a sister; Viva Jo Walden and her parents.

Above all she was a mother, very active grandma, and a foster parent to 45 children.

She was employed at Illini Electric Coop.  She was a member of Sidney Christian Church and River Valley  Church of Christ , as well as the Red Hat Society.  She was also a member of Champaign County Home Extension Club, Fisher Chapter and a Weight Watch Leader.  She enjoyed doing crafts.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or Carle Hospice Program.
