Beulah "Joan" J Maguire

Beulah “Joan” Maguire, 90, of Tolono passed away at 7:56AM, Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Funeral services will be 11:30 AM, Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at Freese Funeral Home, Tolono with Rev. Gail Meyers officiating.  Burial will be at Bailey Memorial Cemetery, Tolono.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:30 to 11:30AM of Tuesday.

Joan was born December 21, 1934 in Tolono, a daughter to Bill and Clara Butt Medlen.

Surviving are her children; Jerry (Beverly) White of, Charlotte Valdez of Denver, CO, Bill (Bonita Rainey) While of Champaign, Mike (Marnie) Maguire Jr of Mattoon, John (Julie) Maguire of Columbus, OH, and Catherine (Tom) Henricksen of Shelbina, MO, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, siblings; Walter Medlen, Flossie Nugent, and Jim Medlen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son; Rick White, granddaughter; Katie Maguire, siblings; Loretta Easton, Jake Medlen, Eddie Medlen, Carl Medlen and Helen McClure.

She was employed at the IGA in Tolono for many years.  She was also an active member in the Tolono United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be made to the Tolono United Methodist Church.
