Donna Bixler

Donna J. Bixler, 64, of Homer passed away at 10:02 a.m. Friday (March 17, 2023) at home.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at Freese Funeral Home, 302 E. Grand Ave., St. Joseph. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. The Rev. Dean Rose will officiate. A graveside service will be held at a later date.

Donna was born Feb. 7, 1959, in Champaign, the daughter of Joseph D. and Wilma (Smith) Humphrey. She married Bryan K. Bixler on Aug. 26, 2000. He survives.

She is also survived by her mother and her siblings Judy (Frank) Costa, John Humphrey and Mary Jane (William) Hancock.

She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Clifford Humphrey and Stanley "Mick" Puckett.

Donna was a member of the Sidell Assembly UPC Church. She enjoyed canvas needlepoint. Donna loved her dogs, Peanut and Ms. C.

She worked at Cap and Gown for 25 years. She then worked at Crawfords Tranmission until retiring.
